“So what do you say we get those wheels of yours running and just see where the road takes us?”
“I say that would be unwise. My mother warned me to never get into cars with strangers.”
Q: Karen, has it been easier than it would have been, joining a new show cause you’ve got Matt who is also new?
Karen: Yeah it’s great to have someone to go through this experience with. We’re sharing it and we’re helping each other out and it’s always more fun to share it with someone. Like even this interview is more fun!
Matt: It kind of is isn’t it, doing it together?
Karen: It’s lovely!

‘If Doctor Who would do a cross-over episode, I’d definitely want it to be Breaking Bad. I’d really like the Doctor to meet Heisenberg. That show will flip your world upside down’ -Matt Smith
“Well, basically, working with Matt on it is what made it special, because he gives you so much. He makes it a lot easier for his fellow actors. Although we weren’t even looking directly at each other—it’s so sad, isn’t it, that the Doctor and Amy couldn’t look at each other? —I could feel that emotion from Matt, and I’m sure I was resonating that as well. And he was listening to The Carpenters at one point. Close to you. I was like, ‘Oh God, what are you doing to me?’ It was so sad.” -Karen Gillan on filming the Doctor and Amy’s last scene
Let me tell you about my life: I live with three men, one of which happens to be a thousand-year-old alien I’ve spent all my life waiting for. The other is the world’s only consulting detective and the third can kill you in cold blood if you so much as lay a finger on anyone he loves. I spilt my time between sleeping on a time machine that’s bigger on the inside while planets are burning before my feet and the other half I have a nice comfy bed in Baker Street. Not that I spend much time on it: so many planets, murders, running I can hardly keep track.
Also I love every second of it.
Flowers fade, the fruits of Summer fade.
They have their seasons, so do we.
But please promise me that sometimes
you will think of me.
I’m looking forward to really embracing the culture and maybe starting to work out like people seem to do here. I mean, like, maybe just jogging. Maybe I’ll get a dog. That’s what people seem to do. I would also love to do more stage work but really just good quality projects. I want to do things that interest me. I want to write screenplays as well. Matt has always talked about playing Macbeth and I’ve always had an obsession with Macbeth so maybe one day. -Karen Gillan on her future.
I’d quite like to write a script one day, because I’m learning a lot from Steven Moffat. I’ve never shown anyone the things I’ve written but I have to get over that if I want to be a writer. I’d love to do theatre. I quite fancy a bit of directing. Karen’s out in LA so maybe go out there and see her for a bit. Get a dog. I don’t know -Matt Smith on his future
